BNC Northern Virginia Chapter (NOVA)
Welcome to the North Virginia (NOVA) chapter of the Brandeis National Committee!
We’ve learned through our life experiences to treasure the moments.
From NOVA BNC, we ask you to embrace your moments by joining the NOVA Chapter of Brandeis National Committee (BNC).
- BNC is a network of Chapters across the country dedicated to embodying the principles of Brandeis University for Lifelong Learning, Philanthropy, and Social Justice.
- Brandeis University, outside of Boston, is a non-sectarian, coeducational University with a liberal arts focus. Founded in 1948, Brandeis University was named after Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis.
👥LIFELONG LEARNING
Meet and make friends with interesting people with like interests. The collaborative environment welcomes you whether in person or on Zoom, and we look forward to our conversations. NOVA has monthly Interest Groups on subjects like Mystery Books, Contemporary Voices Around the World, Legal & Ethical Issues, Between Generations Through Short Stories, Travel, Movies, Plays, and more.
📚PHILANTHROPY
An important part of our program is giving back and making a difference. Through our Interest Groups and one-time Sessions, like our yearly Book and Author Symposium, pictured above, we raise money to provide financial support for Brandeis and its libraries. BNC is the largest friends-of-a-library group in the world, with 21,000 members and 37 chapters nationwide.
🎉ENJOY Life
There are endless possibilities in the Northern Virginia area to have fun visiting museums, taking garden tours, enjoying speakers, concerts, and plays. And we can’t forget sharing lunch and laughter, whether in person or on Zoom.
We hope that you’ll join us at NOVA BNC to create new moments. It will be one of your best decisions!
