Hats Off to Summer!
Welcome to the San Dieguito Chapter of the Brandeis National Committee!
We are a growing group of lifelong learners in San Diego County with members from Coronado to Oceanside. Our offerings include a wide variety of social and educational opportunities in the form of study and social groups that are designed to entertain, inform, educate and promote conversation. This year in addition to our regular Art Discovery, walking, film, educational and book groups we are presenting Sunday Funday, Fitness Friday, News Junkies, Taxes 101, Mitzvah Mavens, and many more offerings. The bonus is the connections and friendships we create.
Our periodic fundraisers such as Game Day, University on Wheels and Book and Author luncheons provide education and fun while supporting Brandeis University. The financial support we provide from all our events goes towards libraries, student scholarships and scientific research.
Although most members have no direct affiliation with the university, the San Dieguito Chapter is committed to the nonsectarian University’s purpose and embraces the core values of intellectual curiosity, social justice, service to the community, academic excellence, and diversity.
Our bulletin is published and distributed by email every other month and contains important contact information, dates, invitations and chapter news. Our Board meetings are open to all members on the fourth Monday of the month via Zoom. We look forward to seeing new and returning members at our events this year and spending another year learning and playing together.
