Akram received his Master's Degree in Composition from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, and his Graduate Diploma in Contemporary Improvisation from NEC. Currently, he leads NEC’s CMA department World Music Ensemble and teaches courses on Contemporary Arabic Music, Orchestration, and Arranging Music using Digital Audio Workstation. Additionally, he teaches at Berklee in the Screen Scoring Department, instructing in Composition and Orchestration for media composers and Scoring Tech Blend. Akram's extensive body of work encompasses a wide range of compositions and orchestrations for film, theatre, television, and dance. His choral works have received international acclaim.
