Housing Selection Process and Next Steps
The housing selection process begins with applying for housing. Current students interested in housing for Fall 2025 and/or Spring 2026 must complete the Returning Student Housing Application through their MyHousing Portal by Wednesday, February 12th, 2025 at 12 noon. We strongly recommend that all students fill out the Returning Student Housing Application - even if they are not sure if they will need housing. Students can be removed from the process at later dates, but they cannot be added to the process if they do not fill out the application.
Housing Selection Numbers will be released Friday, February 14. Selection number ranges are as follows:
- 126-1200: Rising sophomores
- 1201-2700: Rising juniors/seniors
Housing selection times will be released during the week of March 10.

Students interested in housing for any of the 2025-2026 academic year must complete the Returning Student Housing Application through their
MyHousing Portal by Wednesday, February 12th at 12 noon. All returning students will complete the same application and can note within the application if they intend to study abroad for either semester.
Specific selection dates and times will depend on a student's housing selection process. Students participating in Study Abroad Selection (for students studying abroad in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026) will select on either March 17th or 18th, Rising Sophomores will select from March 20-21, and Rising Juniors/Seniors will select from March 25-26. Selection times will be released during the week of March 10. *Rising Juniors and Seniors are not guaranteed housing

Students can view floor plans for Rising Sophomore and Rising Junior/Senior quads by visiting their MyHousing Portal.
Community Living staff update the Live Availability page hourly while housing selection is underway. If you are unable to select housing at your assigned time, it may be that your roommate group size isn't suitable for any of the available housing options.
It is crucial to have a back-up plan: A roommate group of 4 may need to consider splitting into 2 groups of 2 (if there are only 2-person options left), or merging with another group of 4 (if there are only 8-person suites left). If you are unable to or do not select housing, you will be placed on the Pending Assignments list (see "Am I guaranteed housing?")
Students in the Rising Sophomore and Study Abroad selection processes are guaranteed housing. Rising Juniors and Seniors are not guaranteed housing. Students unable to select during their housing selection process will be placed on a Pending Assignments list and will be offered housing prior to students on the wait list for housing (space permitting). Students on the Pending Assignments list will hear from Community Living staff in the weeks and months that follow housing selection as spaces become available. While students on the Pending Assignments list are not guaranteed housing, Community Living has historically been able to offer these students housing in the weeks/months following selection.
During the first day of Rising Sophomore and Rising Junior/Senior housing selection processes, students/groups are required to fill all available spaces in a unit. An individual (roommate group of one) would only be able to fill single rooms in corridor-style buildings (such as East, Skyline, or Village), 1-person Efficiency Apartments in Charles River, or any other partially filled which had one remaining space. All other spaces could only be selected by roommate groups that could fill the available spaces. Selecting an 8-person suite in Ziv would require an 8-person roommate group.
During Study Abroad selection and on the second day of Rising Sophomore and Rising Junior/Senior selection processes, students/groups are can select spaces without filling all remaining available spaces. As space permits, individuals may select beds in double rooms or suites, and smaller roommate groups may select in units that have more vacancies than needed for their group size.
All students requesting medical/disability housing accommodations are required to complete a Returning Student Housing Application through their
MyHousing Portal and indicate their interest in Disability Accommodations in Campus Housing.
Students requesting new (additional) or updated medical
disability accommodations in campus housing are required to submit any new requests and required materials by February 12. Students participating in the Community Advisor Recruitment Process for 2025-2026 must submit any necessary materials by February 5. Visit the

During the week of February 17, all students with Medical/Disability Housing Accommodations will be contacted with information regarding their substantiated and/or unsubstantiated accommodation requests as well as next steps in the process.
The same housing guarantees apply to students with Medical/Disability Housing Accommodations. As such, there may be some Rising Juniors and Seniors with substantiated housing accommodations who are not offered housing prior to Housing Selection. We will do our best to work with these students following the conclusion of the Housing Selection process if they are unable to secure housing that meets their substantiated housing accommodations.
