Study Spaces for Graduate Students

There are several spaces on campus specifically designated for graduate students:

Student Lounge
The Office of Graduate Student Affairs maintains the Gerstenzang Graduate Student Study Lounge located on the main floor of the Gerstenzang Science Library. It is a quiet study space, perfect for when you really need to focus. Additionally, a lactation room is available by email request to gradstudentaffairs@brandeis.edu.

Study Area and Work Space
This space, newly refurbished by GSAS, is intended as a space for graduate students working collaboratively together. It has one computer and a coffee maker.

Study Area and Work Space
The Women’s Studies Research Center has a number of lockable workstations in the Epstein building for Brandeis Advanced Graduate Students (ABD) to use. Typically, each workstation is shared by two students and assigned three times per year; summer, fall and winter. The Epstein building can be found at the bottom of campus and offers a wheelchair accessible entrance, a full kitchen and a bathroom with shower.
Please contact WSRC Program Administrator Kristen Mullin for available spots.
The Library provides a range of rooms and spaces available for graduate students, including quiet study spaces, group study spaces, carrels, and research rooms for ABD doctoral candidates. They also have locker space where students can store their belongings. Information about each and how to reserve can be found on the Library's Rooms and Spaces page. Please contact library@brandeis.edu with any questions.
Some Departments and Programs have limited office space available. Check with your Director of Graduate Study and Department Administrator.
