Managing at Brandeis Certificate Program

Brandeis offers learning opportunities for staff managers and leaders, focusing on practical knowledge and skills needed to be effective in this role. Upon completion of the series, you will earn a certificate.  The curriculum is targeted at newly appointed, early career through mid-career managers and leaders.  You must manage at least one staff member to participate.


Additionally, you must commit to attending all four sessions. Each session will be held via Zoom. Participants who complete all four sessions will receive a Certificate of Completion and will be honored with a reception with their managers.

The following KGA programs offer practical strategies as we are in the midst of our TAP Mid-Year performance review cycle:

  • Goal Setting-Achieving personal and professional goals requires planning and action. Learning how to manage time and set realistic goals will increase your chance of success in every area of your life.
  • Delivering Constructive Criticism for managers-This course helps management learn effective ways to handle and deliver constructive criticism allowing employees to not only learn from their mistakes, but even benefit from them.
  • Coaching and Mentoring for managers-This workshop focuses on how to better coach your staff to higher performance An easy-to-understand coaching model taught in this workshop will guide you through the process.
