Requirements
To qualify for the BS/MS degree in neuroscience, students must complete courses totaling 152 credits. These courses must include those needed to satisfy the requirements for the Neuroscience BS degree plus 3 additional neurobiology or cognitive neuroscience electives listed in the bulletin. Among the Neuroscience electives and Additional Science electives required for the BS/MS degree, at least 7 must be at the graduate level, and completed with a grade of B- or above.
Senior Honors Research
BS/MS students must do senior honors research, i. e., take two semesters of NEUR 199 and receive departmental honors in neuroscience to count as one of the 7 graduate-level electives. To reach the level of honors, a student must typically work in a research lab for at least two years.
