Office of the President

Announcing Amy Morton, SVP of Marketing and Communications

June 28, 2024

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I am pleased to announce that Amy Morton, an executive with deep experience leading marketing, communications, and strategy in higher education, will join Brandeis as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications.

Amy spent 11 years at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), first serving as Chief Marketing Officer and then as Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff. At WPI, Amy led marketing initiatives that significantly increased applications and philanthropic giving, and she oversaw the university’s strategic plan. She was involved in the institute’s COVID response, NECHE accreditation, and risk assessment and management. Prior to WPI, Amy worked in publishing and marketing for education-focused companies, including Pearson. She has also worked as a consultant to educational nonprofits.

As SVP of Marketing and Communications at Brandeis, Amy will be part of my leadership team and collaborate closely with Admissions, Institutional Advancement, and other departments. Leading the Office of Marketing and Communications, she will oversee the university’s brand and design, execute and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, manage issues, and provide guidance on marketing and communications initiatives across the university.

I am confident that Amy’s successes in marketing and communications and her keen understanding of higher education will enable her to revitalize our marketing and communications efforts, and to tell Brandeis’ unique story in a compelling way for key audiences. She will begin her tenure on July 8; please join me in welcoming her to Brandeis.

Sincerely,

Ron Liebowitz
