Dean of Arts and Sciences Transition

Dear Colleagues,
As the month of June draws to an end I want to thank again Dean Susan Birren for her exemplary work as Dean of Arts and Sciences over the past seven years. Susan will now be returning to her lab and a well-deserved sabbatical. Incoming Dean Dorothy Hodgson will begin formally August 20th. In the meanwhile, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Dean Eric Chasalow will be the point person for specific issues within A&S that require Dean approval. I am most grateful to Eric for taking on these additional responsibilities for the coming weeks. I hope you are having a productive and restorative summer.
