Waltham, Mass. — Brandeis University has appointed Jennifer Walker, an accomplished university leader with a proven track record, whose excellence in recruitment and financial aid management has advanced Brandeis throughout her 17-year tenure, as Vice President, Enrollment Management.

“Jennifer Walker is a dynamic enrollment professional and a respected leader. She is attuned to both the evolving needs of students and families throughout their college experience and the importance of aligning Brandeis to meet the challenges and opportunities in the current higher education marketplace,” said Arthur Levine ’70, Interim President of Brandeis University.

In her expanded role, Walker will continue to spearhead the undergraduate admissions office and assume oversight of student financial services and the registrar’s office under the direct leadership of the President. She will evaluate trends across the entire student enrollment continuum and partner with campus leaders on student retention, success, and satisfaction initiatives.

“In the face of the changing landscape of higher education, enrollment management has become an integral function of universities and colleges and I’m honored to assume this role at Brandeis. It’s about more than attracting students—it’s also creating connections and systems that support their success and well-being throughout their educational journey,” said Jennifer Walker, newly appointed Vice President, Enrollment Management.

Walker has held a variety of roles in Admissions since joining Brandeis in 2007 and most recently served as Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid. Notably, she has grown the Early Decision applicant pool, navigated the enrollment challenges of the COVID pandemic to yield record-sized classes in 2021 and 2022, grown transfer matriculations, and enhanced the admission’s office customer service and technology infrastructure.

Walker is a lifelong resident of Massachusetts, earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Iona University and a master’s degree from Teachers College at Columbia University.
