Two works by Brandeis faculty named as finalists for National Jewish Book Award

The Jewish Book Council has selected publications by husband and wife faculty members President Emeritus Jehuda Reinharz, Phd’72, H’11, and Jacob S. Potofsky Professor of Sociology, Emerita Shulamit Reinharz, GSAS MA’69, PhD’77, as finalists for this year’s National Jewish Book Award.
Jehuda Reinharz coauthored “Chaim Weizmann: A Biography,” with Motti Golani. Brandeis University Press published the volume, which was recognized in the biography category, in 2024. Shula Reinharz was named a finalist in the category of Holocaust Memoir for her book “Hiding in Holland: A Resistance Memoir.”
More than 120 judges considered more than 700 submissions.
