Leadership

As the Director of Capital Programs, Michael McGarry is responsible for the stewardship of 100-plus campus buildings that total 3 million gross square feet, in partnership with the directors of Campus Planning and Facilities Services. Michael oversees the heads of Design and Construction, Sustainability and Energy, and Utilities Management. He oversees the design and construction of capital projects, primarily the maintenance, but also renovations of existing buildings, landscape improvements and new construction related to Brandeis University's "Framework for Our Future."

Bill Stanton is the Associate Director of Energy & Utilities. Bill oversees and manages most aspects of campus energy and utilities use, production and distribution. Duties include acting as the primary interface with city public works and major utilities providers. Bill assists in developing policies and procedures associated with energy production, use and conservation and acts as the Brandeis University resource on issues related to energy usage and conservation.

Dan Tress is the Associate Director of Preconstruction and Project Controls. Dan is responsible for ensuring that all projects are developed, tracked and closed out to support efficiency, sustainability and quality in Brandeis' capital programs.

As the Senior Capital Project Manager, Michael Bushey plans and executes campus facility planning, design and construction, including site planning, new construction, building renovation, utilities and landscape improvement.

Capital Project Manager Debra Willard coordinates and manages various aspects of projects, including planning, budget development, design, construction and communicating project updates to stakeholders.

Assistant Capital Project Manager Matt Wholstrom coordinates and manages various aspects of projects, including office moves, utilities and landscape improvements, design, construction, and communicating project updates to stakeholders.
