Brandeis students will have more opportunities to explore and prepare for careers in the tech industry thanks to an experiential learning program starting this fall.

Possible, a career exploration company, will partner with Brandeis’ Hiatt Career Center in crafting a program to help students in both technical and non-technical majors learn about, identify, and attain a career in tech that aligns with their goals.

This interactive five-week program provides a structured curriculum focused on today’s most in-demand career paths. Students will learn directly from recruiters, hiring managers, founders, and individual contributors from companies such as Microsoft, Meta, Square, Etsy, and Modern Treasury.

The sessions allow students to explore a broad range of disciplines, from marketing to operations to product management. Students will engage in workshops, hear from industry leaders, connect with mentors, and work on a hands-on project—everything designed to help them discover and pursue a career that aligns with their goals.

“Possible offers Brandeis students a unique opportunity to build on their classroom learning and connect with industry professionals, allowing them to explore a broader range of tech careers,” said Jon Schlesinger, executive director of the Hiatt Career Center. “We’re proud to provide these incredible opportunities to students, thanks to the support of a generous alumni and family gift.”

The curriculum is crafted to supplement the job resources provided by the Hiatt Career Center, which provides Brandeis students and alumni individual support exploring career hubs, affinity groups, and industry resources.

Students are chosen through a nomination process by faculty and staff. The Possible program will be launching in October 2024.
