Congratulations to Benjamin Bechtolsheim, who was selected one of 12 George J. Mitchell Scholars and will pursue a year of postgraduate study in Ireland during the 2012–13 academic year. He plans to study for an M.B.A. at University College Dublin. Benjamin is a consultant for international development organizations in Washington, D.C. His primary client is the Center for Interfaith Action on Global Poverty, where he oversees a multicountry research study in sub-Saharan Africa on new biomedical approaches to HIV prevention. The 13th class of Mitchell Scholars was chosen from 300 applicants by the U.S.–Ireland Alliance.
