Gary Zaetz discussed his family’s efforts to recover the remains of his uncle, who served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II, at a meeting of the Cape Fear chapter of the Military Officers Association of America at the Fort Bragg Officers Club in Fayetteville, N.C. His uncle was on a B-24 Liberator that crashed in India. Gary spoke about the role of investigator Clayton Kuhles, who, as founder and head of the nonprofit organization MIA Recoveries, has located the crash sites of almost 200 American World War II servicemen listed as missing in action in south China or the Indian Himalayas. Mark Rotenberg joined Johns Hopkins University as vice president and general counsel. He spent the past 20 years as the University of Minnesota’s chief legal officer. Mark provides legal advice to the university’s board of trustees, faculty, deans and staff.
