Naomi Bromberg Bar-Yam, Heller PhD’97, P’07, P’12, is the president of Human Milk Banking Association of North America. Her son Maayan ’12 married Talia Apkon last June; they live in Philadelphia. Grandson Deuel was born last August to her daughter Shlomiya ’07 and son-in-law Binyamin, and was welcomed enthusiastically by big sister Tirsiyah. Mitchell Caplan was named to the board of directors of Professional Capital Services. Mitch recently served as CEO of Jefferson National, one of the largest distributors of tax-advantaged investing solutions for fee-based advisers and their clients. Howard Cetel and his wife, Rosanne (Levinson) ’80, are the proud grandparents of Corey Reid, born last October. Son Jason, the baby’s father, is working in the law firm practice group started by Richard Blau. Middle son Steve, who recently became engaged, is a second-year resident in internal medicine. The couple’s youngest son is a sophomore at Syracuse University. Catherine Orkin Oskow is moving back to New England for the first time since 1979. Her husband, Craig, has accepted a job as creative director at New Chapter, which makes organic non-GMO vitamins and supplements in Brattleboro, Vermont. Cathi and Craig bought a log home in Keene, New Hampshire. They raised three children in Minneapolis, where Cathi taught English, and was a school librarian and freelance writer. In January, the manuscript for her children’s novel “Raising Canaans” earned honorable mention in the Sydney Taylor Manuscript competition, sponsored by the Association of Jewish Libraries. Marge Reiter is regional vice president at CPES, which provides homes and services for the intellectually and developmentally disabled in Arizona and California. Marge reports she still enjoys performing in the Phoenix Symphony Chorus. Her daughter is a junior at the University of Arizona. Paul J. Sullivan teaches at the National Defense University (NDU) and Georgetown, as well as for the Yale Alumni College. He is the lead of NDU’s Energy Industry Study, and an adviser to flag officers from the Middle East and Asia. In March, he spoke at Windsor Castle on issues related to energy security, and politics and economics in the Middle East and North Africa.
