Student Accessibility Support
Brandeis is committed to providing an environment that is equitable and accessible to all qualified students. Since admission to the university is based on the academic qualifications of the applicant, admissions procedures remain the same for all applicants, regardless of disability. The university provides reasonable accommodations for students with documented disabilities. Once accepted, a student must provide us with documentation of a learning, psychological or physical disability to receive appropriate services through the Office of Student Accessibility Support. Please observe a reasonable time frame for requesting accommodations.

Brandeis degree candidates who require accommodations should email access@brandeis.edu.
Students with disabilities may meet with our staff should they need some assistance or advocacy. To book an appointment call 781-736-3470, or email access@brandeis.edu. Appointment times are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout both summer sessions. Visiting students need to schedule a half-hour meeting with our office to register, obtain accommodation approval and request accommodation letters to present to faculty.
Summer School students visiting from other universities should email the following items to access@brandeis.edu:
-
Neuropsychological evaluation documenting their learning disability or ADHD, and/or their medical report documenting their sensory limitation or physical or psychological disability
-
Academic accommodation letter with letterhead from their home institution
-
A note indicating the accommodations they request for Brandeis Summer School
Brandeis students already registered with Student Accessibility Support may contact us as usual at the start of a semester.
Summer School faculty are invited to consult with Student Accessibility Support as well.
