Faculty Service Award
The School of Arts and Sciences Faculty Service Award recognizes outstanding service contributions to departments, programs and the university by members of the School of Arts & Sciences faculty. An awardee is chosen annually to recognize and celebrate exceptional uncompensated service that has benefited the university.
Any member of the School of Arts & Sciences faculty or staff may submit a nomination. Nominees should possess a substantial and continuing record of university service. Please detail specific accomplishments and briefly describe how recent contributions have had a positive impact on the university.
Nominations are due February 3, 2025. The award includes a cash prize of $2,500 to be presented at the April faculty meeting. If you have questions about the School of Arts & Sciences Faculty Service Award, please email Kathleen McMahan.
Eligibility
All tenure-line and renewable contract faculty in the Divisions of Creative Arts, Humanities, Sciences and Social Sciences are eligible to be nominated for the School of Arts & Sciences Faculty Service Award.
Award Committee
The Award committee consists of the Dean of Arts & Sciences, the Senior Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs, and the Division Heads for Creative Arts, Humanities, Sciences and Social Sciences.
