There are four types of internships that can be registered at the Business School:

  • 4-credit Finance or Data Analytics internship (>140 total hours)*
  • 2-credit internship (>100 total hours)
  • 1-credit internship (MSF ONLY)
  • Not-for-credit internship (NOT AVAILABLE to international students doing an internship in the US.)

* MSF, MSBA, and MA students may ONLY use this course to satisfy the Practicum

International students MUST contact the International Students and Scholars Office before engaging with any off-campus employment. See more below.

Students can work with their assigned Career Coach to pursue an internship. Students may have different internship requirements and/or options depending on their academic program. International students may only pursue full-time internships in summer terms. Students may contact their Program Advisor for more information.

The registration form requires that you upload a copy of your offer letter. The offer letter must include the below in order to match our criteria for registration. A sample can be found on this page (click "Sample Offer Letter" on left navigation).

  • Start and end date
  • Payment or statement of it being unpaid
  • Hours per week
  • Company name and location
  • Supervisor and job description

Once the form is submitted, the student’s Program Advisor will review and approve, and register the student for the appropriate internship course in Workday. Once registered, students will receive access to the section in Moodle closer to the start of the term, which is where you will do things like view instructor announcements, post to the class, and submit assignments. More information about academic requirements for the internship course can be found below:
