Brandeis International Business School

Global Markets Investment Club

Mission

Leaning upon its mission of "developing members' investment knowledge and skill," GMIC offers opportunities for students to do just that. For first-year members, the Global Markets Investment Club (GMIC) helps students gain first-hand investment and market knowledge. For students with more experience, participation offers a hands-on opportunity to apply information and concepts covered in classes.

Participation in GMIC offers application from the following courses:

  • Investments
  • Corporate Finance
  • Portfolio Management
  • Financial Statement Analysis
  • Security Analysis
  • Financial Modeling

The group holds weekly meetings to discuss market news, past and present investments, and asset allocation strategy. Members are grouped into teams to present weekly evaluative investments. Under the GMIC portfolio, the club manages over $150,000 AUM.

Brandeis International Business School alumni previously involved with GMIC work with companies in China, India, Brazil, South Africa, Russia, the United States, and more.
