FAQs
Why do the personal purchase models on the Dell page seem more expensive than the models I can find at Best Buy or Amazon?
Two reasons. First, the models listed are business-class laptops. These are built to last longer with better internal components than most consumer class models. Second, we bundle a full extended multi-year warranty into the purchase so if your device fails after the initial 90-day coverage many manufacturers give you, the repair cost is either covered in full or minimal. Most devices purchased from Bestbuy or Amazon do not bundle extended coverage into the purchase price.
What is Applecare+?
AppleCare+ for Mac extends your coverage to three years from your AppleCare+ purchase date and adds up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage, each subject to a service fee of $99 for screen damage or external enclosure damage, or $299 for other damage, plus applicable tax.
Should I buy Applecare+ extended warranty for my new Apple computer?
Absolutely! The standard warranty Apple provides to new computer purchases only covers the first 90 days. After that, you are expected to cover the full cost of any damages to the device. Considering the high cost of Apple devices, Applecare+ should always be purchased with a new Apple laptop, desktop or iPad.
