Mark E. Carlson, Heller MBA’03, has been honored by the Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America as one of 100 individuals making an impact on nonprofits. Executive director at the Children’s Center for Communication/Beverly School for the Deaf, Mark was recognized for his leadership in creating a brighter future for students of all abilities. Banu Eligur, PhD’06, was awarded the inaugural Bernard Lewis Memorial Prize at the 11th annual meeting of the Association for the Study of the Middle East and Africa. Banu is an associate professor in the political science and international relations department at Baskent University, in Turkey.
