Facilities Quality Assurance Program
Facilities Services is committed to preserving and enhancing our workmanship, as well as the condition and appearance of the Brandeis University campus. Facilities Services ensures this occurs through conducting quality assurance checks, which are completed in the following areas:
- All facilities work orders
- Building cleanliness
- Grounds maintenance
- Cleanliness checks of all University Services dining areas
Metrics
In order to ensure we are delivery the proper and timely service to the Brandeis community, Facilities Services metrics have been developed. These metrics include the following:
- Establish processes to receive and address customer suggestions and feedback, including a comment section within the online service request, and periodic customer surveys
- Establish a quality assurance program to measure performance standards, and utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to determine what internal processes need to be improved upon
- Benchmark ourselves against our peers: We will continue to review and compare peer university practices and remain actively engaged in organizations dedicated to providing counsel, shared services, and educational opportunities within higher education, such as The Boston Consortium and APPA
- Continue to seek out and leverage technology wherever it can aid us
- Ensuring we respond to the most urgent needs first and prioritizing our work is a metric we will continue to monitor. In order to ensure we meet all customer needs, all work is categorized into four major categories.
Training
Facilities Services provides its staff with monthly and annual training to ensure safety awareness and to comply with certification or OSHA requirements.
