• Audio from a user's laptop can be routed through the TV's speakers OR via the Crestron Mecury device

This classroom is equipped for use of webconferencing or recording applications with the installed cameras and microphones for an optimal HyFlex experience. Zoom is available to all Brandeis users and can be launched on the installed PC or on a user's laptop and access the installed cameras and microphones.

Users can access Zoom to setup meetings at brandeis.zoom.us.

• Turn on the TV monitor using the remote that lives on the conference table.

• Connect a laptop via the HDMI cable located on the conference table. 

Wireless screen sharing via the Crestron Mercury device

• Select “Laptop/Mobile” and then choose a connection type to match your cable, adapter or wireless device.

• There may be a set of display adapters at the podium, but they can go missing or become damaged. Users are encouraged to bring their own adapters to ensure successful connectivity.
• A USB cable is located at the conference table that can be connected to the laptop if use of the room's installed camera will be used for web conferencing or recording on the connected laptop. By connecting the USB cable to the laptop, the cameras and microphones will become available as sources in the webconferencing or recording application (i.e. Zoom)

• Audio playback can be handled by the installed TV monitor OR the Crestron Mercury device located on the conference table.
  • Control audio level on the TV monitor via the TV remote
  • Control audio level on the Crestron Mercury device from the controls on the touchpanel of the device.

• The conference room has a USB webcam that is located under the TV. The camera can be selected from the web conferencing application running on a laptop connected to the system via the installed USB cable.
• This camera is designed to be a static shot of the conference table. There are not any controls to adjust the position of this camera. 

• To shut down the system, turn off the TV using the remote control
