Fox Baudelaire, who was a recipient of the Ting Tsung and Wei-Fong Chao Endowed Scholarship at Brandeis, is a research scientist at Albany Molecular Research, in Buffalo, New York. Previously, he was a technician in the COVID-19 diagnostic laboratory at the Broad Institute. Jeremy Goodsnyder is helping restore the once-magnificent Florida Reef Tract through his work at the Coral Restoration Foundation, in the Florida Keys. Candice Ji says her Brandeis classes in environmental studies, architecture and journalism have led her to want to design sustainable and equitable public places. She writes, “Since completing my degree, I’ve honed my practical experience through a paid position as a planner at a city planning firm, and by serving as a volunteer at a data-driven city-making startup and a place-making advocate. It has not been an easy transition this year, but I am grateful for the community, friendship, support and continuous resources that Brandeis offers beyond graduation.” Kayla Kurland-Davis writes, “I’ve been living my dream. After the virtual end to the 2020 spring semester due to COVID-19 and many unknowns about what the future might hold, I was fortunate to secure a job as an early education teacher at Brandeis’ Lemberg Children’s Center. I have learned so much, I have been challenged in new ways, and I have grown immensely as an individual and a teacher. My next grand endeavor is to go back to school to become an occupational therapist. One day, I plan to open a Black-owned OT practice.”
