Scott Bermack is general liability practice group co-chair in Weber Gallagher’s New York office. He represents clients in civil claims involving product liability, construction and labor law, premises liability, trucking liability, and personal injury and professional negligence, and litigates commercial disputes involving land use, banking, shareholder rights, and fiduciary breach. Scott is also an advisory board member of the Sports and Entertainment Risk Management Alliance. Todd Goldstein is vice president and marketing director at Wakefield Co-operative Bank, headquartered in Wakefield, Massachusetts. Richard Hirsch is the chief marketing officer at and an investor in UnaliWear, a startup that makes and markets the only medical-alert watch with patented AI-learning fall-detection technology. He’s helped the company raise more than $16 million to date. Illysa Perry Izenberg is a senior lecturer at Johns Hopkins University’s Whiting School of Engineering. Johns Hopkins has made her award-winning course, Principles of Management, available through Coursera. It helps managers learn how to build and lead teams, make business decisions that support their organization’s strategy, and oversee projects that come in on time and within budget. Rebecca Rae Stern, P’24, who has amassed almost 30 years of federal service at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, married longtime love Mike Gureghian in her backyard in July 2021. She is thrilled her younger son, Joel ’24, is attending Brandeis, where he has started the university’s first hip-hop club, hosts Trivia Night, and volunteers at a lab that’s collecting data on domestic terrorism. Son Peter is graduating from Oberlin College and will be a Fulbright Scholar in Greece. David Zive is a member of the finance department in the Philadelphia office of law firm Ballard Spahr. His practice focuses on commercial finance, with an emphasis on complex real estate and corporate finance transactions, loan restructurings, and creditors’ rights and enforcement matters. David lives in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, with wife Beth Jacobowitz Zive.
