In May, David Benforado had a solo exhibition, “Cataclysms,” at Kourd Gallery, in Athens, Greece. The show featured 11 of his large-scale paintings. Dan Gold is a partner in Shearman & Sterling’s litigation group in the firm’s Dallas office. Brian Goldberg has reinvented his Mr. Bing brand as a Chinese-inspired condiment manufacturer with nationwide distribution. Brandeis’ food-service provider, Harvest Table, uses the Mr. Bing chili crisp on its campus menus. In September, it hosted a tasting for Brandeis students to meet Brian and learn about his entrepreneurial journey. Erica Goldman, GSAS MA’16, Heller MBA’16, who lives in Brooklyn, is deputy CEO at the Bronfman Fellowship. Previously, she was the chief program officer at JPro. Eli Lesser-Goldsmith is CEO of Healthy Living, a family-run natural-foods retailer with locations in Vermont and New York. In August, Healthy Living received the Deane C. Davis Outstanding Business of the Year Award from Vermont Business Magazine and the Vermont Chamber of Commerce. A live version of composer Rachel Peters’ operatic comedy “Lesson Plan” (originally conceived for Zoom) premiered in July at the Caramoor Festival, in Katonah, New York. Performances of Rachel’s “Sketchbook for Ollie,” adapted from “Life Is a Jar of Paint,” a story by Bill Folman ’98, and commissioned by Lyric Opera of Kansas City, were staged in October and November.
