MEETUP IN THE MISSION DISTRICT: In November, Dan Risman-Jones ’08, IBS MA’09 (left), and Steven Huang hosted a get-together for Brandeisians at their San Francisco home. Brandeis has two alumni clubs in California, which provide community-service, networking, and social opportunities to the more than 5,500 alumni who live in the state.

Margaret Borchert

Margaret Borchert ’15 came to Brandeis with dreams of becoming the next Great American Novelist. Then she took a course on short-film writing taught by Marc Weinberg, an adjunct assistant professor of English and film studies, and it opened her eyes to a different creative medium.
